March 6th, Block 6 Design, Week 9
Today, we continued to work on our cardboard laptop stands. Each group finalized their illustrator file, printed one table, and then constructed it to see if it would assemble properly. After printing, everyone made design changes and fixed the problems they had with their desk to improve upon their project.
March 7th, Block 2 Design, Week 9
Today in class, we continued to work on our computer stands. Everybody tried to fix problems that they encountered with their prototypes. The people that were ready, showed other people their prototypes. They then gave feedback to each other about what worked and what didn't. It was helpful to be able to get feedback and groups were able to improve for next class.

Prompts:
- What, if any, changes did you make to your file after printing it out on paper? What issues did you need to address before your first cut?
- What challenges did you face in getting your file cut on the laser cutter?
- What questions did you ask of your design? (hint: "does it work" is not detailed enough . . . and a given)
- What challenges did your first cardboard version give you that you weren't expecting? (list them)
- What are some of your ideas about how to address the challenges?
- What are some of your ideas about improving the aesthetics of your design?

March 3 Block 6
Today in class most groups finished off printing their models with the laser cutter and started to piece it together. After piecing it together, all groups analysed their stand and discussed what they could change about their project.
.

One example of a a functional sitting laptop desk, that is strong enough to hold up the laptop while having it over your legs.

Standing desk that needs more support so your laptop doesn't fall as soon as you put it on. Next class, is when we will come in with our revised plans and print it one last time.
