This week we had three classes, most of which was spent working in Fusion 360, as well as one day learning about how acrylic can be bent and formed with heat. Progress is slow but gaining, and now there are a few screencasts up in Blackboard for students to access to make forms like lofted cones or lofting from one shape to another. Students were able to bend and form acrylic, and even saw first hand what happens when acrylic is left too long in the heat source, resulting in some bubbled / warped materials. Better to learn it early than with your actual project! :)
