So far we've worked through a few of the preliminary stages of research and design specifications for the AMPED project. Week 2 had more exploration of the physics of sound, finding dimensions of the phone to be amplified, consideration of the qualities of various materials when it comes to the sound, etc. Week 3 included the summary of that research, writing the design brief after making some decisions about what was to be included in each individual design, and then finally making the first round of the Design Specification. Lastly, we went back to sketching some thumbnails and then drawing out a design prospect with some dimensions to see how it might be created with the tools and materials at hand. We also looked briefly at Fusion 360, but will begin designing digitally after a sketch with the dimensions is completed. Thursday, January 26, 2017
Making progress on Amped!
