Week 11 blog prompts due 11/9

Week 11 Blog Prompts   Please note that each class has suggested photos to include in the blog posts, plus prompts to answer - in some detail! - for that week's post.

3D Design
Photos to include: screen shots of your early design work - with 2 classes this week you should be making some progress on your project. If you have an inspiration piece to show where you are headed, add an image of that and a link to your resource.

Prompts:

  • Explain the scope of your project and materials you will be using. If you've changed the software you want to use, mention that too.
  • Is your materials list complete? Be sure it is in a google doc in the class folder in drive. Copy/paste your materials list here.
  •  You have 3 classes next week. What can you accomplish in that time? It's about 3.5 hours of class time and maybe 1 hour of homework over the week.
  • Be aware that you will be creating documentation or a "how to" on your project as you go and editing and refining it as you finish the project. Keep appropriate notes along the way to aid you in this process.

Design & Fabrication 2, 4
Photos: 3 classes this week- primarily focused on the hack-a-shape project. You should have a photo of your cardboard shape with circuit design drawn on it; also a photo / video of your soldering session results and of your e-textile sewing experience.

Prompts:

  • You have 4 class periods (3, plus last minute work on the 18th) to edit the shape file you will get on Monday for slots and led holes as necessary, cut your shape with a partner, paint and add circuitry / etc to your shape.  DETAIL YOUR PLANS for each class in this post.
  • **I will be in Design 1 after school (until 4:45) the 16, 17 and 18 for any of you who want to come in and work more on your project. We'll be resuming work on your individual project on Friday 11/20
Please have your blog post done by Monday 11/9 at 8:00am (all classes), although earlier is always welcome.  Email me if you have any questions or issues.
Ms. Sutter
